Crockpot Meatballs

Ingredients

  • 2 jars (24 oz each) marinara sauce

  • 1 lb ground beef

  • 1 lb ground Italian sausage

  • 4-6 crushed garlic cloves

  • 2 eggs

  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

  • 1 cup Italian breadcrumbs

  • 1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese

  • Salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Move oven rack to highest position and preheat broiler to 500°F. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and spray with nonstick cooking spray.

  2. Combine all meatball ingredients (except sauce) in large mixing bowl and mix thoroughly with hands.

  3. Scoop out a roughly golf ball sized volume of meatball mixture. Roll together in hands and place on foil-lined sheet.

  4. Once all meatballs have been scooped and rolled, broil in oven for 8 minutes or until browned and fat has melted through.

  5. Transfer broiled meatballs to Crockpot and stir in marinara sauce.

  6. Cook on Low for 8 hours or High for 4 hours.

  7. Serve with pasta, baguettes, Italian rolls, or other bread.

Notes

  • 1-1.5 teaspoons of garlic powder can be substituted for the garlic cloves.

  • Parmesan-flavored Panko breadcrumbs or plain Panko breadcrumbs can be substituted for Italian breadcrumbs.

  • Extra sauce may be needed.
